My Latest Show at Brand-New BGI Gallery

I'm delighted to have the first-ever show at the new Brooklyn Greenway Initiative Gallery on Columbia Street (Btwn Degraw and Kane) in Brooklyn. March 25th through June 25th.
Lots of new stuff so stop by if you get the chance – I'll post photos from the show soon.

My Pop-Up Show

Some pictures from my first solo pop-up show in the storefront below our apartment in Brooklyn. A great success! Thanks to everyone who came. We had a fun time and we hope to do it again in the near future.

New Work June-December 2011

After working with vertical slabs for some time here's some new work using slabs in curved forms and sculptural pieces carved from solid blocks of clay.

Selected for an exhibition!

This is the piece that I had accepted in the 13th Tokyo-New York Friendship ceramic competition at the Nippon Gallery on 57th Street in NYC. The exhibition featured 50 artists from Tokyo and 50 from New York.

The following pictures are from Inside/Out magazine.  They feature Alison Coates, a former florist turned sculptor.
Alison finds her inspiration in nature.
